Welcome to Pack 3136!

Cub Scout Pack 3136 serves boys in grades K-5 in the Lenexa, KS area. We are part of the Kaw District in the Heart of America Council and are sponsored by the Sunflower Elementary PTA.

Our Den and Pack meetings are held on Thursday nights at Sunflower.  Participation in our Pack isn't exclusive to Sunflower Elementary families; we welcome Scouts from Lenexa Hills and surrounding schools.

Our goal is to foster the BSA vision of building youth into conscientious, responsible, and productive boys by instilling in them lifetime values and developing ethical character traits as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. We want to create an environment that fosters a sense of community while keeping the fun in scouting. As Robert Baden-Powell once said, we are building “Happy, Healthy, and Helpful Citizens.”

Have a question about the Pack?  Use the Contact Us link on the menu to the left and we'll get right back to you.

Happy Thanksgiving from Pack 3136

Posted on Nov 24 2024 - 10:04pm

Dear Pack 3136 Families,

As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to each of you. We are truly thankful for our incredible Scouting community. It’s been a joy to watch our Scouts grow, learn, and build lasting friendships, and none of this would be possible without the support and dedication of our families.

November Pack meeting Announcements

Popcorn Sales:

Congratulations to our three scouts that sold more than $250 in online and wagon sales by 10/31 - Jack L, Ethan S, and Henry S! They each won a Target gift card for their efforts! We do still have stock on hand for everything except chocolate pretzels, so keep promoting wagon sales over the thanksgiving holiday! Online sales for all products are also still available, and for all sales our scouts earn 10% to go towards their scouting activities!

Start Your Engines for our Pack Meeting this week!

Posted on Nov 17 2024 - 5:19pm

Dear Pack 3136 Families,

Start your engines! Get ready for an action-packed "Race Time" Pack Meeting, where our Scouts will dive into exciting activities, learn about speed and friction, and practice good sportsmanship—all while completing key adventure requirements.

Popcorn! Get your popcorn!

Posted on Nov 3 2024 - 9:11pm

We had two tremendously successful storefront popcorn selling opportunities each of the last two weeks, and through the hard work of several brave and dedicated scouts, we’ve now passed over halfway to our total sales goal! Our Pack is currently ranked 19th in the Kaw District amongst all Packs and Troops.

We have several boys who sold enough online or as wagon sales by 10/31 to have their name in the gift card drawing at the November meeting, and we are looking forward to celebrating their achievements!

Online sales can continue throughout November; see more info below for details on a bonus wagon-sale opportunity!

Parent Committee Meeting

Posted on Nov 3 2024 - 8:59pm

Greetings, Pack 3136 families!

It was a joy to see and connect with so many of you over the weekend at our ‘campout’!  Of course it’s never ideal when circumstances present themselves and force us to pivot like that, but I know my boys still absolutely loved running around, the makeshift campfire, and terrific food. I hope your families enjoyed it as well.

As we look ahead to the coming week, I want to take a moment to call attention to something that you may be seeing on your calendar for the first time: ‘Parent Committee Meeting.’ This meeting takes place every month for our Pack leadership to connect to plan and prepare programming and events for our scouts.

All parents/guardians are always welcome to join us as we reflect and plan. What’s new is that we’ve added this to the all-Pack calendar to be sure everyone is aware and feels welcome to join us.

So, please feel welcome to participate and share your insights this coming Sunday, November 10 at 3pm in the Lenexa City Center Library. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
